A shameful plug.
I recently finished a video rant about why I think game of the year awards are rubbish.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNT_fxKk ots
As always, feedback of any kind welcome.
On another note, I finished Borderlands, but I'm still up for co-op if anyone fancies it. While the game did suprise and impress me in a number of ways, the ending was crap. That said, I did dive right back in after I finished it, but the lack of players and the grindy middle are putting me off a bit.
I was thinking of catching up on my wii as it has quite literally gathered dust, that and I can't find C&C 3 in shops. In fact, alot of games vanished in the run up to christmas. My recent change in outlook from "I've got to finish this" to "Lifes to short to keep playing crap" (thanks prince of persia) is making me hesitant about buying the new resident evil chronicles.
Lastly, other then cryostasis (which I will be getting today for cheap) there is another game I've been thinking of buying (and at full price no less) based solely on the premise without knowing anything about it. That ...erm ...I forget the name. Anyway, it's a game where you play one of the 4 horsemen of the apocolypse and is inspired by the book of revolation. Oddly enough, I tried a forum RP like that in the past and got scolded for it, so to see a game that has pretty much the same idea is interesting to me.
Other then that, I have got some cash put aside for a graphics card and the big releases I'm waiting for in first quater of twenty ten (No 'two thousand and ten' for me I still prefer saying twenty oh nine) which is Mass Effect 2 and Supreme Commander 2. We've also got the new fallout game at some point making me think it will never leave! Also Zombie Driver, Silent Hill and Jurrassic the hunted are on my list.
EDIT- I just saw that steam has somehow sold out of a downloadable game, and it was prey no less. How does that work?

World of Warcraft phishing scams via YouTube

Hello everyone.
Just a quick reminder for those of us who play World of Warcraft: notices of contests, prizes, beta tests, etc etc, will only come from Blizzard.
I'm reminding you specifically because there have been a sudden trend in videos on YouTube (and probably lots of other messages in various other places) claiming that they can get the user into the beta test for the Cataclysm expansion. Normally, this will require downloading a file or clicking on a link. As the trolls say, don't believe it! The ones asking you to click a link will simply download a keystroke logger onto your computer which will begin capturing usernames, passwords, credit card numbers, email addresses, etc for everything you do online. The ones asking you to download a file will result in you having to enter all of your personal information into a form, more than likely to perform identity theft on you.
I know we're all excited about the expansion, but stay cool when it comes to these scams!

Holiday in Gaming

Gonna cover a few weeks here since I was lazy and didn't do one last week.
Still playing through Vesperia, though I'm taking small breaks for other games now. I picked up Batman Arkham Asylum as a small Christmas Present to myself a few days before the big day, mainly because it was on sale for almost half the retail price. Alas I got the PS3 version so I could play as the Joker, and I'm waiting for a new set of PS3 Dual Shock clip on triggers in the mail.
Thanks in part to generous siblings and parents, for Christmas I managed to snag Kirby Super Star Ultra, Professor Layton and the Curious Village, and New Super Mario Bros Wii. I'm quite enjoying Kriby and Mario as I've needed a good platformer fix lately. I've yet to try out Professor Layton, but I imagine within the next few days I'll be dabbling in that as well.
Finally I snagged myself a third WiiMote for the purpose of party gaming. I don't do party games too terribly often, but when I do they're a blast, and its nice to have as many people as possible playing in instances like those.
Anyhow, if anybody else would like to share their Christmas haul go right ahead. In fact I'm kinda curious as to what the average sized haul around here is. Small I'd suspect, given how many here are likely above premium Christmas haul age.

Delaware Furbowl 12 Canceled

Delaware Furbowl 12 which was scheduled for tonight is going to be canceled. It's snowing here in Delaware and it's not showing signs of stopping anytime soon. I don't want folks risking their safety on the roads and I feel that the weather is causing unsafe driving conditions.
Again sorry for any inconvenience, and sorry to those that were really looking forward to this month's event.
I'll be hosting the next furbowl, Delaware Furbowl 12.5, next month on Saturday January 30th! I hope all of you that signed up can make it then!
Be safe out there and happy holidays!

I will spare you my usual rant about online games being crap, but I will mention my pet hate of people who only play games that are new and popular.
You see, after going gaga over this game since it was announced, the co-op community has been praising Borderlands none stop. I had my doubts, but finally dought it when I saw it cheap and I'm currently enjoying it. However, as I have said a million times before, no ones playing it only 5 weeks after release because it's "old". Instead everyone is back at their Halos and Call of Dutys ...I can't really call it that any more. Halos and Modern Warfares then.
I'm SabreXT on Steam, and will start a new character (sniper or tank) if you want.
Oh, on a related note, I don't have the DLC and don't plan on getting it because it should have been on the disc. If the survival mode in the new one is any good, I might get that.
